Inclusive Rates
Rates include:
- Unlimited kilometers for all vehicle types
- One way rental fees
- Additional driver fee
- Full Insurance Cover (nil excess)
- Living equipment, plus camping table, chairs, beach umbrella and baby or booster seats if required.
- Full water tank and gas bottle(s)
- Nationwide road side assistance & free phone help-line
- Multiple replacements and repairs of windscreens and tires
- Extensive travel information pack
- Cleaning fee
- 12.5% G.S.T. (Goods and Services tax)
Important: Free transfers between depot and Airport or City Hotel with the KEA bus.
Minimum Rental Duration and Costings
Minimum rental period: 5 days.
Vehicle rentals are calculated on a per calendar day basis, i.e. day of pick-up or drop off is always counted as a full day irrespective of what time it is collected or dropped off.
Long-term Rental
Special conditions apply for rentals of more than 50 days. Details available on application.

One Way Rental Fee
No one-way fee is applicable
License and Minimum Age
A valid national drivers license is required. National drivers licenses, which are not in English, need to be presented in conjunction with an official translation or valid international drivers license. The minimum age is 21 years.
Excess and Bond Policy
All KEA Campers vehicles come with comprehensive insurance cover, and under the All Inclusive rate Program, there is no excess payable. Asecurity bond of NZD250.00 is payable at the time of pickup., however, to ensure that the vehicle is returned to the agreed location, on the agreed date in a clean condition and the toilet cassette and waste water tank has been emptied and no items are lost or damaged. The security bond can be paid by cash, traveler's cheque or credit card.
IMPORTANT:The renter is fully liable for any damage to the KEA Campers vehicle or third party property if:
- The terms of the rental contract are breached.
- Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, willful or reckless driving.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Driving on restricted roads.
- Water submersion or salt-water damage caused through own fault.
Road Restrictions
Campers/Motorhomes can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well-maintained roads. No vehicles shall be driven on the following roads: Skippers Canyon Road, Ball Hutt Road, 90 Mile Beach, all unsealed ski access roads.
Repairs
Repairs of up to NZD100.00 may be affected without authorization and will be reimbursed. Amounts above NZD100.00 require approval from KEA on-road assistance.
Vehicle Return
All vehicles must be returned with a full fuel tank. Re-fuelling at the KEA depot will be charged at NZD1.50 per liter of fuel.
Cancellation Fees

Change of Vehicle
If, for reasons beyond our control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle at no extra cost to the client. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter to any form of refund.
Arrival & Departure
Early morning pick-ups are no problem. With prior notice our office will open from 7.00am for you. For early morning departures you can overnight at our depot.

Comprehensive Travel Information Pack
Includes details on camping grounds, maps, New Zealand Traffic rules, sightseeing brochures and general information.
Road Atlas
You will find a New Zealand Road Atlas in your glove box for you to use on your holiday.
Easy-to-read Campervan Manual
Included in the information pack, provided in English & German.
Ferry Bookings
Can be organized for your Ferry Crossing between the North & South Island. Advance bookings are recommended between October & April.
Nationwide Backup Service
We provide you with a Freephone number for on road assistance. This service is available from 7.00am until 10.00pm.
Luggage Storage
If you don't want to take your suitcases with you, they can be stored in our depot. Or we can send your luggage on to your drop-off point for a nominal charge.
Shower & Restroom facilities at our depots
If you feel like freshening up before you start your holiday, our customer bathroom facilities are available to you at any time.
Taxes
All charges include 12.5% GST. All rates and conditions are subject to change in accordance with changes in government taxes.
